if someone claims me on their tax return, do i still have to file?

someone is claiming me this year as they financially supported me all year. i had no income at all last year, so assuming i have to file, i did what i could to input whatever info i could put down on turbotax only to reach a page that says i'm not eligible for e-filing (probably because my income tax would show up with nothing but blank entries), however there was an alternative suggestion for filing by mail. so since i am being claimed on someone's return, do i have to file at all if i have no income or nothing significant to report?

If you had no income at all for the entire year, you do not have to file a tax return unless you received advance premium tax credit for health insurance from the Marketplace ("Obamacare"), or you took money out of a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Medical Savings Account (MSA). The fact that someone is claiming you as a dependent does not mean that you have to file.
