If my spouse has been deported for 20 years what maritial status do i file?

he was deported 4 years after we met 2yrs after we were married ut he canot and has not returned we have had i contact in twenty years aout 15 years ago i just havent had time or money to divorce

Since you are still legally married and have had no communication with your spouse in that amount of time, it would be best to file married filing separately.
