If my husband and I are filing jointly, do we each submit forms through turbo tax? We got married in march of 2016.

No.  You should use only one account, either yours or your husbands, if you each had a TurboTax account last  year.  While logged into one of those accounts you should complete one tax return as married filing jointly which should include all income and expense as well as any credits for both of you.

Married filing jointly is almost always the most advantageous way to file to obtain the lowest amount of tax.

Once the return is completed, you should e-file only one tax return.  For specific state information the is information below to access your state website for an understanding of their specific rules.  Some states require you to file with the same filing status as the federal for example, while other states can benefit by filing separately even if they did file jointly on the federal return.
