If my child receives a 1099-Misc, where do I enter the amount she receives on my tax return?

My child is a dependent on my tax return, however she received a 1099-misc income, where do I file this amount on my tax return?

Do not add the 1099-MISC to your return.  Create a separate logon ID and password for your child and file a separate  return for her.  You can use the same emall address that you use for your TurboTax account.

You can use
TurboTax Free File for her return as long as she meets the income requirements.

On the Child's return be sure to check the box that says she can be claimed as a dependent by someone else.  That is VERY important.  Double check that.

You will add the 1099-MISC in her wages and income section.  Answer the questions about the 1099-MISC.

Finish and file the return.

It seems there is a threshold for income before i would have to file a tax return for my child.    I am looking at the "less common income" section --> more info.

The child's earned income was from a vaccine trial and she received a 1099-MISC for $925.00

It seems like the income would be "earned income" as opposed to "unearned income".  Since it is unearned income and the amount was <$12,550 I believe this says i do not need to file a tax return for her.  Total was $925 so even if it was unearned income it would be below that threshold.

Am i interpreting this correctly that i do not need to file a tax return for my child?  I also do not need to report the income on my tax return?

For Federal, unearned income may be subject to Kiddie tax.  And filing requirements may be different for State.
