Married Filing Jointly means that the two of you file only ONE tax return. That one tax return has the income and deductions for both of you.
Do both parties submit a tax return or only once between the two when married and filing together?
No you only submit 1 return total. Did you both use Turbo Tax last year before you got married? Then pick the account for whoever you want to be listed first on the return. Or use the account that is the most complicated like if one person has a business or depreciation. Then add the other person to it.
