If I work 2 jobs and made less than 10k on the second job. Can I wait until 2020 to file that

i have had taxes taken out all year from the second job and that extra 9k put me in a whole new tax bracket. Just wondering because both incomes being filed this year have me owning

Well--then you did not have enough tax withheld.  Going forward, change your W-4 with your employer and have them withhold more.

 

NO, you cannot wait til next year to file that other W-2.  ALL of your 2019 income has to be entered on the SAME tax return Form 1040.

 

Every W-2 that you received must be reported on your tax return, even if they are for small amounts.  Remember that each one of those W-2’s has your Social Security number on it, and that income was reported to the IRS by the employer.  You do not want to get in trouble with the IRS for under-reporting your income.

ALL of your W-2’s must be entered on the SAME tax return.  After you enter the first one, you click Add Another W-2.
