If I received a 1099 misc for volunteer firefighter how do I enter this without it being self wmployed

If the Income is reported in Box #7, you have to report this as self-employment income.  And because it is self-employment income, you will have to pay your share of the self-employment taxes such as Social Security and Medicare.  

You can deduct certain expenses to reduce the income you have to pay taxes on.
