If I’m unemployed but not receiving unemployment benefits, how do I signify that to turbo tax?

I’m trying to e-file but intuit insists I need to upload docs to do so, yet no docs have been requested save for W-2 which I don’t get because I’m unemployed, and I don’t receive unemployment.

You do not have to tell TurboTax or the IRS that you are unemployed.   But if you have no income, you have no reason to prepare or file an income tax return unless you have a 1095A for marketplace health insurance.

 

Did you receive ANY kind of income in 2024?
