If I'm not getting a state refund or have to pay in, do I need to file a return?

If you were required to file a federal tax return this year, you will most likely have to file a state tax return as well.  Even if you do not owe, and are not getting a refund.  But you would need to check with your state's Department of Revenue to make be sure.  You can visit this IRS link to find the link you need for your state: https://www.irs.gov/Tax-Professionals/Government-Sites
