If I haven’t had a job this year (2024) but still have two dependents. Do I not get to claim anything at all this following tax year?

I’ve had a job every year except this one. Stayed home to homeschool. But now I’m realizing I’m might be missing out on the tax season

If you have no taxable income to report on a 2024 tax return then there is no need to file a 2024 return, with or without dependents.

To be eligible for the Child Tax Credit you need a minimum of $2,500 of income from work.
