If I filed electronically last year and PAID the IRS (instead of receiving a refund check), will my stimulus check be disbursed via electronic funds transfer, or mailed?

It is early but from what I read, anyone that has bank information on record with the IRS, will receive their stimulus money by direct deposit .  If there is no banking information you will receive a check.  If by the time they decide when the money will be issued, the amount & how you will receive it will go by your 2018 tax return (if you did not file a 2019 by then), or it will go by your 2019 that was filed.

The questions about “stimulus checks” are beginning after a press conference that just happened on 3-17-2020. So far this has not even passed in Congress.  At this moment it is in the Senate and still has to pass in the House of Representatives.  Please be patient until there is actual information to provide to you.  We cannot tell you if you will get a check, when you will get a check or how much it will be for.  No one knows yet.
