If I file my taxes, can my father claim me as a dependent since he takes care of my expenses? I only worked in-between college breaks. Would it affect his amount received

since it appears you have not yet filed on your return you must mark you could be claimed as a dependent.  if you don't  this will cause problems if your father claims you

these are the tests  that will have to be met for your father to claim you

1) you had the same principal abode as your father for more than ½ the tax year. Temporary absences like for school are ignored
2) If you are not a full-time student you must be under 19 at the end of the tax year. If you are a full-time student under 24 at end of tax year.
Full -time means an individual who during each of 5 calendar months during the calendar year in which the taxable year of the taxpayer begins is a full-time student at an educational organization described in section 170(b)(1)(A)(ii), or is pursuing a full-time course of institutional on-farm training under the supervision of an accredited agent of an educational organization described in or of a State or political subdivision of a State.

if either or both of the tests are not met the you could be a qualifying relative if this tests is met:;

your gross income for 2019 was under $4200

if he can't claim you then you can claim yourself.
