If I enter my school ZIP Code it’s telling me its not the right zip for e-filing, but I know it’s the right ZIP Code and don’t understand what to put in that box?

Yes, you can get that error when the zip code doesn't match your state abbreviation. 

 

First, take a look at the state abbreviation for your school. If it's correct, verify the city, state and zip code using the the zip code look up from the USPS. Follow this link to get started. 

 

If you need to return to the education credit section to make a correction:

 

 

1. Open your return in TurboTax.
2. Select Deductions & Credits.
3. Select Edit/Add to the right of Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T).
4. Select Edit to the right of your name.
5. Select Edit to the right of the school's name.
6. Edit the address here.
