If I earned under $400 while driving for Uber, do I have to report this and where do I record this in TurboTax?

Did you receive a 1099 because you shouldn't have the magic number is $600 to have to file it on your taxes.

It depends, if you earned $400 or more and that was your only income, then you would still need to file a return to report the money you earned as an independent contractor for Uber. If it was less than $400, and you have no other income, then you would not need to file a return to report less than $400.

If you have other income, you will still need to include the amount earned with Uber regardless of the amount you earned.  When you file a return you must include ALL income from ALL sources.
