No, providing this info is not required to file your taxes. You can leave it blank. In an effort to help protect your identity and fight tax fraud, the IRS and many state tax offices are now asking that tax filers provide their driver’s license or state issued ID number.
However, in some states, omitting this info may delay the processing of your return.

@Serkensy Your question is not clear. What are you trying to do in regard to an ID?
I’m trying to figure out how long will the taxes come for a person doesn’t have an iD it said irs is still processing your refund
@Serkensy Sorry--you are still not being clear. Did the IRS send you a letter requesting that you verify your identity? Why are you asking about an ID?
@Uriel00 Your question is not clear. What are you trying to do? If you are trying to enter an ID or Driver's license into the software to e-file --- you cannot use a passport instead.
Or are you trying to do something else?
