if i do a factory reset of my laptop will it remove turbotax

Yes. A factory reset restores a device to its original state by erasing all data, settings, and applications that were previously stored on it. This process returns the device to the condition it was in when it left the factory.

So you should save all your tax returns to a flash drive or backup or something.  The tax files end in .tax or .tax2022, .tax2023 etc.   and you should have made pdf copies when you were done filing.  They should be in your Documents then in the Turbo Tax folder.

 

You would have to reinstall the programs.
