If I am the executor of my father's estate after his passing in 2024, can I expense what I paid for in Funeral/cremation fees and Probate attorney fees?

If the answer is yes, would this be listed under deductions? I'm not sure where to list these.

Funeral expenses are not deductible, either on an individual income tax return (1040) or an estate income tax return (1041). They are deductible on Form 706 but odds are you do not need to file that form.

Probate costs, including attorney fees, are deductible on Form 1041.
