I worked & lived in Texas(Jan-Apr) & Georgia(May-Dec).Total income 100K(40K Texas, 60K georgia). Shouldn't Box 16 of W2 only mention the georgia income?

I worked & lived in Texas(Jan-Apr) & Georgia(May-Dec).Total income 100K(40K Texas, 60K georgia).

Box 16 in W2 lists the entire years income, it does not seem to exclude the texas income. Is the W2 generated incorrectly or is my understanding incorrect?

My husband was a living and working in Georgia throughout the year and we are filing taxes jointly.

It is OK that is how the W2 is written. When you go through the interview process in the Georgia return, it will ask about income earned in another state. Georgis will not tax that income.
