I went on disability late last year after many failed attempts to return to work. So my usual earnings are much lower. I also bought a house, moved out of state and no longer have a dependent. How do I file taxes? Do I file taxes if my income minimal?

Hello JulieJay,

Thanks for joining the event!

You are not required to file your taxes if your income is below filing requirements.  This link for the IRS lists the requirements:  IRS Filing Requirements

Keep in mind you must file if you have self-employment income.

I hope this helps!!

Hello MikeysGirl,

Thanks for joining the event!

Yes!  There is no age limit for contributing to an IRA –only must have taxable earned income, (wages, salaries, commissions, tips, bonuses, or net income from self-employment).  This is a great resource from the IRS on this topic: IRS Traditional and Roth IRAs

Best of Luck on the busines!
