I was married in 2024. I lived in MA for the entire year, but my spouse lived part of the year in TX and part in MA. How can we file our taxes to reflect this?

Should be we filing as married filing separate?

You can decide if you want to file a joint or separate federal tax return.  Your Massachusetts filing status may differ from that allowed on your federal return.

If married taxpayers have a Massachusetts residency tax year that begins and ends on different days, they must file married filing separately.  You would file a Resident tax return, and she would file a Part Year Resident tax return.

Texas does not have a personal income tax.
