I was head of household in my old apartment of 9 months but not where I am now. Is there a way to claim it for my old apartment?

Head of household has nothing to do with the address that you live at.   It has to do with paying more than half of providing a home for yourself and your closely related relative that you can claim as a dependent for more than half the year.

You can move from place to place as often as you need to as long as you are paying the expenses for both you and your dependent.

In the case of married and separated parents the related dependent can only be your child.
