I was employed half year, starting my own home based business. Turbotax's had my SS #. I do need to use my SS for w-2, but I need to ADD my EIN. Can I have both, how?

In general, a sole proprietor does not need an EIN and should not use one unless they change business structure, file for bankruptcy, pay employees or start a retirement plan.  If you have one, you can add it for your Schedule C in the general information section.  (See below)
