I was divorced and remarried in 2016. She is a citizen of the Philippines and not yet here in the US (nor has a SS#). How should I be filing my income tax for 2016?

She is still not here in the US.  I was married legally in the Philippines.  How should I file my tax return?

If your spouse does not have a Social Security number or an ITIN, then you can only file your tax return as Married Filing Separately.  The return will have to be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.  You will have to write in the box for your spouse's Social Security number NRA, for non-resident alien.
