I was a coach for a travel soccer team and received 2777.50. Do I report this if this is a side job, or is this too low of an income to report?

You were self -employed as a soccer coach and thus would report this income as self-employment income on Schedule C.

See https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3398950-what-self-employed-expenses-can-i-deduct    for a list of common expenses that you may be able to deduct from this income.

You need to report it.  If it was not self-employment income you can enter it as miscellaneous income.

To enter the income:

  1. Click on Federal on the left hand side of the screen in the black area
  2. Click on Wages & Income at the top of your screen
  3. Scroll down (  you may need to click on All Income) to Less Common Income
  4. Click on Show More
  5. Scroll down to Miscellaneous Income
  6. Click on Start
  7. Scroll down to Other reportable income and click Start
  8. Enter a description and income amount
