To get the free edition, you'll need to sign up for it here - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/ - and select "File for $0" under the Free option. If you don't qualify for the free version, TurboTax will inform you why you need to upgrade and to which version. If you're currently using TurboTax Deluxe, Premier, or Self-Employed, you may need to clear & start over to get back to the free version. But to prevent having to enter all your information again, you'll want to review the pricing page and see if your forms are covered in the free version before you clear & start over.
