I've tried to file two different returns. Both of them Intuit says they can't transmit because of internet issues. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

The error says this: "We're experiencing internet transmission problems beyond our control. We're unable to confirm it was received. Check your modem, etc"  We've done this.

After spending an hour with support that didn't help,  we noticed my windows didn't update. Then we noticed that the proxy was on. We took out the proxy and the problem was fixed. The submittal went through.

Get a cord and connect your computer directly to your modem.   WIFI speeds are much lower than a direct connection.

It's now June, but I have been experiencing the same issue trying to file a federal and two state returns.

- The federal loaded when I only transmitted it.

- After lots of attempts at fixes, my state returns electronically loaded when I completely exited a VPN app (AOL's Private WiFi) on my notebook.  The app had been running in background, but was not actually routing data through it (as I was otherwise using a secure home network).

I was on hold with about the 5th Turbo tech assistant over a period of two weeks when I noticed the vpn button and decided to try a full exit ... and each state then loaded.  A friend just told me that his printer will not work while the VPN is running on his machine, so I guess there is some connection.  Hope this helps you or someone in the future!
