I’ve started my return on my desktop with the TurboTax CD but now I have to use another computer. How will I get my information to transfer to another computer?

I prefer the CD, but will the download keep what I’ve input so far?

the cd is just the program, right? you will have to load that on the new computer you want to run it on, but i don't know how computer savvy you are, you *might* be able to save the file that you started and email it to yourself and then open it from the new computer after you've loaded it on the new computer. your tax return is not actually saved on the cd.

When you use the CD/download your tax return is stored locally on your own hard drive or on any backup device you use like a flash drive.  It is not stored online.   If you need to use another computer to finish it, save it to a back up device and then put it into the other computer after you have downloaded the software to the new computer.
