I've been waiting for at least 6 weeks to file my taxes as it keeps saying my state return isn't ready. When will the Iowa state return be ready?

It sounds like you're waiting for some Iowa state tax forms to be available in TurboTax. After double-checking, it appears that most Iowa state tax forms are ready for use in TurboTax.

Here’s how you can check ‌availability:

Check Business Forms:

Check Personal Forms:

Additionally, some Forms are Ready for Print but Unsupported for E-file:

If a form is marked as "e-file unsupported," you can still print and mail it. Here is a summary of the forms that are unsupported for e-file but ready for print:

  • Form IA 102: Amended Return Schedule
  • Form IA 178: Farm to Food Donation Tax Credit
  • Form IA 8824 Worksheet: Like-Kind Exchange of Personal Property
  • Form IA SSD: Surviving Spouse Disclaimer Form
  • IA Tax Payment Voucher
  • Iowa Information Worksheet

If the form you are looking for is on the available list be sure to log out, clear your cookies and cache, and then log back in and check and see if you can file. This can often resolve technical problems.

If you know the specific forms you're looking for, reach back out.
