I used TurboTax to file my own federal and state returns. I am also the executor of an estate. Can I use the same Turbo Tax instance to prepare the deceased's filings?

You will not be able to use the same TurboTax to prepare the deceased filings if you are using the TurboTax Online version. You will have to set up another TurboTax account to do that.

If you are using a TurboTax Desktop program, you may be able to file an individual tax return for the deceased if their tax situation allows for it, but you will not be able to file a Form 1041, U.S. Income Tax Return for Estates and Trusts. You'll need TurboTax Business to file a Form 1041, as the personal versions of TurboTax don't support this form.
