I used TurboTax Home & Business (desktop version) last year. Now I only need Premier. Will it pick up the appropriate information from my last Home & Business filing?

Yes, the 2021 tax data file can be transferred to any TurboTax 2022 personal edition, desktop or online.

Thanks for the prompt answer. My Goggle searches found various warnings about "downgrading" a TurboTax version.  I was concerned that I would have to re-enter all of the basic and carryover information, which would be really depressing.

Actually ... if you use the downloaded version you only need the Deluxe since all the downloaded/CD versions can handle all the same forms.  Use Basic if you don't need a state return.

Yes,  you can transfer any 2021 version into any other 2022 version (Desktop/Download or Online).  No problem there.  What you probably read about was downgrading a current 2022 ONLINE return like Premier into a lower 2022 online version like Deluxe or the Free Edition.  To do that you have to clear and start over.

You're absolutely right about my search. The only answers I could find were about the online version. I didn't see anything addressing the desktop version. Thank you everyone for your responses. It was driving me nuts finding an answer to what seemed, to me, to be a simple question.
