You can deduct your TurboTax fees from your federal refund (not your state refund). This option is called Refund Processing.

There are several situations where you won't be able to use the Refund Processing Service, including:
  • You're filing a paper return.
  • You don't have a federal refund.
  • Your federal refund isn't enough to cover the fees.
  • You're filing with a foreign address.
  • Form 8888 is in your return.
  • You already used the service when you initially e-filed your federal return.
