I seem to be getting an error message when doing my federal review. For my deductible home mortgage interest Wks it says my calculations could not be completed. Ideas?

When I try to do the Federal review, Turbo Tax brings up an error message. Specifically it says "Deductible Home Mortgage Interest Wks: Your calculations could not be completed. Reference code: 9-945-263". I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to change if anything. I tried re-submitted the mortgage information as listed on my 1098 but to no avail.

It's really strange, but I can't seem to see the answer? The webpage says that I don't have the privileges for it. Perhaps I can only see it on a different version of turbotax?

I believe that code is when there are decimals entered on the 1098 screen.

Please revisit that section

Deductions & Credits

Scroll down to "Your Home"

Click Edit next to the 1098

Round to the whole dollar.

.50 and higher, round up to the next whole dollar

.49 and lower, round down to the next dollar

The TurboTax program uses rounding.

According to the IRS:

“Computations

The following information may be useful in making the return easier to complete.

Rounding off dollars.

You can round off cents to whole dollars on your return and schedules. If you do round to whole dollars, you must round all amounts. To round, drop amounts under 50 cents and increase amounts from 50 to 99 cents to the next dollar. For example, $1.39 becomes $1 and $2.50 becomes $3.

If you have to add two or more amounts to figure the amount to enter on a line, include cents when adding the amounts and round off only the total.”

The link that you are referring to is an issue from last season that has since been resolved. Is there something that you are exeriencing related to this issue on this year's return?
