Transcript Code (TC) 841 – This code is officially described as “Cancelled Refund Check Deposited” and means that the financial institution the IRS sent your refund to refused the payment because the account details the IRS sent them does not match what they have on their systems.
Normally, the IRS will then mail you a check. However, code 767 can mean that a refund was returned, but has not been received by the IRS. Therefore, they cannot reissue it just yet.
I would wait a bit longer.
