I requested a federal refund to my bank account on one of turbotax's screens but that request is not reflected on the tax return itself. Did I missed som ething?

How can I check if I did it correctly and the refund will be directed to my bank account?

If you chose to have your TT fees deducted from your federal refund, the banking information you are seeing on the Form 1040 is the information for the third party bank that will receive your refund, remove the fees and send the rest to you.  That bank has the account information that you entered.

It seems that something went wrong with my request. It should have attached an 8888 form ( "Allocation of Refund") to my return that I don't see on the forms that got submitted.

I live overseas in Ecuador and receiving regular mail from the US is doomed to failure. (ever more now with the pandemic).

Is there a way to file that form after having submitted my return electronically?
