I received income from a Construction company as a non-employee. Should I expect a 1099-NEC from them? If I don't receive one how do I report this income?

I am an independent contractor and this income is my business and main source of income.

Yes, they should send you one. You may want to call as they should have issued it by now. If you fail to get one, you can enter the amount as cash on Schedule C. You will have to reconstruct your income.

  1. Type "Schedule C" in the search field at the top right hand of the screen.
  2. Select "Jump To Schedule C" and you will be brought to the section of TurboTax where you can enter or have entered your business income and expense information.
