I received an Honorarium of over $600 in 2021 to provide consulting to a Healthcare Company. How do I add that to turbotax?

I tried to add consulting information but there's not a place for me to include anything. It's asking for my business address and W2 for employees

You would enter your honorarium income as other income if this is just an occasional thing that you do. To do this you will select the following:

  • Federal
  • Income and Expenses
  • Scroll down to Less Common Income and click Show More
  • Start next to Miscellaneous Income
  • Start next to Other Reportable Income

If you do this on a regular basis, then you would need to enter it as self-employment income by clicking the following:

  • Federal
  • Income and Expenses
  • Show More next to Self-Employment
  • Start or Revisit next to Self-Employment
  • Yes, to you have any self-employment income or expenses
  • Enter the type of self-employment work you do
  • Click through a few more screens and you will get to a screen that says "Your XX info"
  • Click Looks good
  • Then you will come to a screen that says Let's enter the income for your business.  It will give you the option of 1099-NEC or Other self-employed income including the 1099K , cash and checks.  Select the one that applies to you and hit continue
