I received an email stating that I may have created another account which I have not done. How can I ensure that no one is trying to use my information?
I am behind the deadline to file my taxes this year to my knowledge so I’m unsure if that’s why I received the email. I intend to file today.

You can confirm that only one account is registered to your email address. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address: TurboTax Account Recovery. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used.
