I received an email security alert that I am using a different turbo tax account this year. I have already filed and received my 2021 tax return. Please advise.

Was this email in regards to your return being on hold?  If so, please see the Help Article here for more details on this experience.  

 

If this is in regards to something else, please respond here and someone will follow up with the next steps.

Yes I am using another tax institute this year yes its samone [removed] authorizing this email It was me no fraud

I received an email stating I’m using a different account and if I don’t respond in 48 hours my taxes will be filed. I already filed taxes and received my return.

If you have already successfully efiled  then any further attempts to efile using your SS# will simply be rejected by the IRS so you have nothing to worry about if it was not you filing again by accident.

I received a security alert that someone is using my information to file with the IRS. It looks as though my account was accessed approximately 13 hours ago. This was not me. There is supposed to be a 48 hour hold on this filing but this is the weekend and I am unable to speak with anyone at TurboTax. The hold will lift before their business hours resume Monday morning. How do I stop this from being filed?

What you should do is log in and change your password and/or user ID ad make sure the 2 step verification is turned on.
