I received a notification that the price for filing will go up if I don't file by February 28, but I can't file because turbo tax hasn't released the 8915-F. Anyone else?

I have always used TurboTax, but am considering going elsewhere because of this delay. I know this form is already available on other tax preparation software. I don't want to pay more because TurboTax is delaying.

You  do not have to file by Feb. 28---you just have to PAY by that date to lock in the price.   You can pay now, and file later.  Fees always go up in March.

You can pay your TurboTax fees before you file your return, this way you will get the lower price.  Then when you go to file your return, you won't be charged again even if the programs asks for payment information again.

How do I pay TurboTax Online before filing?

To pay your TurboTax fees before you file,
  1. Go to Print Center on the left side of your screen.
  2. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.
  3. Click Pay Now.
  4. Continue through the screens until you pay.

The early prices expire on March 1.  The price is determined at the time you file or pay.  You can pay early to lock in the current fees.

You can say you want to print and it will make you pay first.

1. If you're not already in your return, sign in at TurboTax.com and then select Take me to my return.

2. Select Tax Tools and then Print Center from the left-side menu (on mobile devices, tap in the upper left corner to expand the menu).

3. Select the first option, Print, save, or preview this year's return and follow any additional onscreen instructions.
