I received a Form 1099-R from my former employer not a bank. Unlike previous years, there is no place available for me to report this.

This turbo tax form only identifies banks.  There is no bank involve.  This not an IRA or any type of pension.  This retirement income from my former employer.

Retirement income is reported on Form 1099-R. It does not have to emanate from a bank or financial institution. As long as there is a payer and an EIN, you can enter the form.

If the payment came on any other reporting form, you would need to enter it in the proper section. Let us know what reporting form you received.
