I put to file my federal and state together, but it's going to cost more to file my state than what I'm getting in a refund. Can I un-bundle them?

Sure...you can go back to the very beginning of the state section and delete the state entirely....but then you will have to find a way to file the state tax section some other way.

Being required to file a state tax return does not depend on whether or not you get a refund that you like.

If you owed the state $200, would you still delete it?

Of course a few states offer a way to file their forms inside their state Department of taxation web site.  But you need to have a full print-out of your fully-prepared and accepted,  Federal tax file, before you attempt that, since many numbers come off the Federal forms.
