I put the wrong date for when my driver's license was issued. Can I change it?

If you e-filed your income tax returns with the wrong driver's license (DL) issue date, you cannot change it. The IRS checks the DL number, expiration and issue dates. If the date(s) are wrong, the IRS may reject your income tax return and you will be able to change the issue date and e-file your return again.

If you have not e-filed your income tax returns, go to the File section of TurboTax and edit your DL information.
