Even when I did a full un-install and then re-install with the newly downloaded .exe, I still get Deluxe. And at no point am I asked for the new License code. I thought maybe it just needed to get to the point when it needed premier, and will prompt me to upgrade. I did that, and then put in the code that meant that I had already paid. After that it again congratulated me on upgrading to Deluxe, not Premier.
OP here. I also just tried to do a fresh download by going to installturbotax.com. When I put in my License code there it gave two choices, MAC or Windows. But the Windows was grayed out, and only allowed MAC to be selected. That obviously won't work, as I have a PC. I However, what is even more strange is that the download link, that came with the upgrade email, only gives a download choice of Windows, not MAC. So, I am still stuck.
FYI ... you do NOT need to upgrade the downloaded program since ALL downloaded programs can handle ALL the same forms and situations. The upgrade will simply get you more "hand holding" help screens (basically a bloated interview process) which is really not needed.
Why do you think you need to upgrade? The Deluxe should work for everything.
The upgrade is made in program by clicking on the option to upgrade and paying the upgrade fee ... try it again. If you still have issues then contact TT support.
