I own a junk removal business. Can I deduct what I paid at the landfill for all of 2016? If so, where do I input this? Thank you!

Yes this is a cost of you doing business so you may claim it. Report it as a Miscellaneous Business expense.

• Select Business tab.
• Select update next to Business Income and Expenses,
• Select Start or Update next to Business Expenses
• Select Start or Update next to Other Common Business Expenses
• Scroll down to Other Miscellaneous Expenses.
• Select Start or Update
• Type in a description and dollar amount spent.
