I owe from 2015 taxes and I am expecting a refund this year. Will I still get a refund

Will I get a direct deposit if I owe from a previous year

You will get a deposit minus the amount you owed.  We had that happen and the IRS took what we owed from our newest refund.  We got the left over

If you have past due federal income taxes, the IRS will generally offset your refund by the outstanding balance.

If your refund exceeds the outstanding balance, you should receive the remainder.  If the IRS changes your refund, they usually send a letter explaining the reason for the change and amount of adjustment made.
