I need to file taxes separately this yr and will have investment income. How can I make an estimated federal payment before yearend to avoid penalties?

I will have dividend and capital gain income this year and filing separate I will not have as many deductions so I anticipate a Federal Tax bill and would like to send $ now to try to avoid  penalties when filing.  How can I do this?

Here are the 1040ES instructions and blank forms (where to mail is on page 5)

Or you can pay on the IRS website.  Be sure to pick 2016 1040ES payment
