I need to file “married filing separately” but selected “filing jointly” and need to change this. My return was rejected (because of my spouses info) how do I fix this?

The title pretty much explains it. I need to change the filing status of my rejected return due to my spouses information, but TurboTax doesn’t tell me how/where to do this. It keeps directing me to the W-2 section of filing which has zero spousal information for me.

The starting point to changing to Married Filing Separate is My Info

  1. In this section, select edit next to YOUR name
  2. Change the filing status in this interview.
  3. Include your wife's personal information,
  4. But do not include any of her income information.
  5. You, or she will have to prepare a second return for her
