I need to file an extension for my state taxes but it isn't allowing me to. I have already filed an extension for my federal taxes does this also cover my state taxes?

That depends on which state you need to file for. Some states will accept a federal extension, some require a separate extension form to be filed. Which state are you in/do you need to file?
