I need to download a PDF of my 2018 return. However when I hit the download link it doesn't provide a PDF, instead a txt that isn't comprehensible. Please help.

The .txt file is actually the PDF with the wrong file name extension. Rename the .txt to .pdf and you should be able to open the downloaded PDF.
