As long as you haven't filed your taxes already, or if you have e-filed but the return was rejected, then you can go back and edit that information. Once you file your tax return and it is accepted, or you file by mailing your tax return through the Post Office, there is no way to change that information.

Assuming that you can still edit the information, just follow these steps in Turbo Tax to get back to the Job (W-2) screen...

  • Click the Federal Taxes tab/button
  • Click the Wages & Income tab/button
  • Click the Edit/Add button next to the job you're trying to edit
  • You'll then be brought to screen where your W-2 information was originally recorded

This doesn't work. It shows the Federal withholding but not state withholding. After searching for an hour, we still can't figure out how to fix the problem.

FYI, TT incorrectly scanned the W-2, showing $7xxxx rather than $1xxxx, which artificially increased the refund by $6000.

Delete the W-2 and then enter the W-2 manually.
